Richmond Road Upgrade Detailed Design

FJA selected for Richmond Road Upgrade Detailed Design Works

FJA™, in collaboration with Jacobs and TfNSW, worked towards the Richmond Road Upgrade project. Richmond Road provides an important north-south link through an area of north-west Sydney which is set to undergo significant land-use and transport changes, including rapid population and employment growth over the next 20 years and beyond. The upgrade would provide safer and improved access to fast growing residential developments in the Marsden Park precinct and future commercial and residential developments in Marsden Park North precinct.

The benefits of the project would include an improved connection between the Marsden Park and Blacktown. Besides, motorists, cyclists and pedestrians would benefit with safer conditions from signalized intersections. Facilities for active transport will also be enhanced. Moreover, upgrades along the Richmond Road will efficiency and network reliability.

FJA™ was engaged to Utilities Design and Management for the project. FJA™ delivered utility coordination and electrical design for this road upgrade project. We are using the FJA BIM and utility management system to manage the 1.6km upgrade project. Additionally, we also undertook the Level 3 ASP design. As well as experience of ASP works, we are also able to model the electrical components to the required level of development for the project.
