FJA selected for Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport Works

FJA is collaborating with BG&E to deliver a new Sydney Metro line for Western Sydney Airport (WSA). New driverless 23km metro line will connect communities and travelers with the new airport in the new WSA (Nancy-Bird Walton) and the growing region. Specifically, this rail project will link St Marys through to the new airport and the Western Sydney Aerotropolis, providing a significant boost for national economies and supporting 14,000 new jobs including 250 apprenticeships during construction. Furthermore, this city-shaping project, will connect residential areas with job hubs including the new Aerotropolis, and link travelers from the new airport to the rest of Sydney’s public transport system.

Working alongside with BG&E, we are engaged to undertake utility management, three-dimensional modelling and Water Service Coordinator (WSC) works for the project.

Major construction for the this new metro rail is set to start in late 2022.
